DPD Accomplishment Report for the Month of May
(CY 2019)
The Diplomatic Protection Division (DPD) provides protective security to the members of the diplomatic corps and visiting foreign dignitaries; performs mobile security patrol along the perimeter of various embassies, consulates and residences; liaises with security focal persons of different foreign embassies and the Department of Foreign Affairs; and performs other tasks as maybe directed by higher authorities.
Based on the DPL approved organizational structure, DPD has two operating sections: The Operation Management Section and the Diplomatic Security Section. It has a total strength of 150 personnel broken down as follows: eleven (11) office personnel, 47 Ambassador/Consul Close-in Security, 35 Ambassador’s Residence Security, 46 Embassy/ Consulate Security, four (4) duty standby/reaction team, six (6) mobile/ motorcycle escorts and one (1) ineffective personnel.
